Joondalup Health Campus needed 50 theatre nurses and midwives...pronto!

They said...”Don’t bore us with the typical boring nursing ads…we’re a whole lot more fun than that.” We traded the typical nursing props and stethoscopes, clip boards and cups of tea for true Hollywood glamour and made nurses the stars they truly are.

So the Mad Empire rose to the occasion with a campaign that would surely capture the imagination of its audience. We channelled the past romance of nursing and the fun and glamour of film and TV to create a recruitment campaign that had an instant response.

Calling The Midwives and A Star is Born was launched to WA nurses Our star characters Valerie and June took us through an episodic journey of fun, friendship, experience and opportunity all to be found at Joondalup Health Campus.
Like true stars, we spread the campaign across billboard, buses, print, online, shopping centres and even created a dedicated website for the campaign.
