Penny Tassone The Mad Empress | Executive Director

Penny has over 26 years of senior leadership experience locally, nationally and internationally in similar Brand, Marketing, PR and Business Development roles.

She is currently the owner and director of The Mad Empire and has worked with some very large and reputable brands in the luxury goods market, which include; London Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz International and Levis International.

Much of her experience has been dedicated to ‘game-changing’ for organisations that are moving in newer, and more ambitious directions. Penny’s specialisation in creative strategy and executing marketing and communications programmes has taken many businesses and brands she’s worked with to higher levels.

Penny has been responsible for several national and international award winning marketing campaigns.

James Price Baron Von Viságe | Executive Artistic Director

James is an internationally acclaimed Executive Creative Director, image and filmmaker. He uses the terms ‘image maker’ and ‘film maker’ as it is lot easier than listing himself as an illustrator, designer, photographer, art director, live action director, animation director, letter wrangler, writer and storyteller. He’s won a load of awards all over the world for his images and films.

James has used his various creative talents for his long list of some pretty cool international clients - who include MTV, Adobe, Coca Cola, Sony, Rayban and The BBC. Following stints living and traveling all over the globe James is now in residence in Perth where he utilises his mad skills to change the game for The Mad Empire clients.

James is a true creative visionary that passes his talents on to all he works with.

Jo Metcalf Contessa De Cülture | Executive Culture Director

Jo has worked internationally for the majority of her career. She returned to Australia in 2015 as Director, National Development at The Australia Council for the Arts.

Jo’s experience includes CEO and Artistic Director at Salisbury International Arts Festival, Head of Performing Arts at The Roundhouse London, Head of the global arts program for Amnesty International, Director of International Partnerships and Programs at CiRCA and Contemporary

Culture Manager at The Perth International Arts Festival. She has also been the creative lead on significant projects for The British Council and Wales Millennium Centre. Most recently she was CEO at Community Arts Network.

Jo’s strengths as a producer, innovator, connector and strategic thinker have seen her successfully operate across the creative industries working with artists including Kevin Spacey, U2, Shepard Fairey and David Byrne.
